I had a best friend

he was my idol &

managed my case -

I had a husband

today is his birthday

After 2 weeks

he preferred "drag" to me-

I had a great brother

he's still kinda cool

but he loves crack

and I Ain't going back-

I had 2 eyes and teeth

but a legal symbol, a lie

a cell, stress and a doctor-

I use to have lots of love

I gave it away with trust

treachery, power and

the 3 "isms" took them-

Now I have this silly pen

an empty room and

a loving friend in Oregon

and God never left me-
